To determine your candidacy, you must undergo a thorough eye exam with your licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist. It is also essential that you discuss with your doctor your expectations for the procedure and your lifestyle. Although LASIK has successfully eliminated or reduced the need for glasses or contact lenses for many people, it is not for everyone.
